After 15+ years, the new WNC Ag Center facility manager decided that horses are too destructive to be housed in the Expo Building. Negotiations with the Commissioner of Agriculture's office failed to accommodate our needs there. As a result of the loss of use of the building, we are losing 178 stalls.

Management is not concerned about the loss of revenue, not just for the facility but for the city as well. Sadly, it was the equine industry that advocated strongly for the creation of the Expo Building.

Attempts to rectify the situation have been going on since July 2022, to no avail. Currently, with the existing situation, IF the Blue Ridge Classic is to continue, exhibitors must limit the number of stalls to the absolute minimum.

IMPORTANT FOR 2023!

Stabling capacity at the WNC Ag Center has reached its limit. WNC AG CENTER management informed Show Management that CONSTRUCTION OF TENTS WILL ABSOLUTELY NO LONGER BE ALLOWED! Accordingly, in an effort to effciently manage the permanent stabling available, Show Management reserves the right to limit the number of tack stalls per stable, if needed, as follows:
